Who is Ash?:
Hey all, my name is Ash and I’m a photographer born and bred in Cambridge. I studied ‘3D Computer Generated Imagery’ at Bournemouth University, and through this new age media learnt the skills and framing that surrounded the world of Photography. I very soon after discovered my love for creating memories, rather than little dancing characters.

But, who ARE you?:
I’m a very relaxed, polite and enthusiastic man with great people skills - according to my Mum, and she’s right about everything. These traits work hand in hand with photography, as most people feel intimidated when a camera is pointed at them (including myself) and I love to help people feel more relaxed with it - after all, the best smiles are the real, laughing smiles in my opinion. In spite of my relaxed and jokey demeanour, I am painfully passionate about photography and almost feel naked if my camera isn’t strapped to me - Photos are everything.

What kit do you use?:

I shoot using Nikon equipment. My primary body is the D810 and a D750 as a secondary backup. I have a vast array of lenses to ensure I’ll always have the appropriate frame for the shot in the heat of the moment - You can miss a memory in half a second, I don’t intend to let that happen.

Do you edit your photos?:

I do indeed - to a certain extent. Every photo I take will be individually colour graded and balanced. Colour grading is important to develop the required mood/feel, and this is where I focus most. I like my photos to look as natural as possible, and thus the only “Photoshopping” I complete consist of removing the odd unfortunate on the day spot/blemish etc. I am however highly experienced with Photoshop use, as the world of 3D uses this extensively.
